The 21st century is an information-oriented society, and with the advantages that come with it there are side effects as well. Everyone possesses numerous identifiers such as the name of the organization that a person works for, a person's address, name, phone number, fax number, e-mail address and cellular number etc. Because human memory that can remember and arrange aforementioned information is limited, there has been an effort to unify all identifiers into a single one so that all information can be accessed with ease.
Starting with a hypothesis - 'What If numerous information were accessed through a telephone number?', ENUM has been created. |
